How best to avoid Jet lag, a non-scientific test; Method 1
So, I’ve done this Auckland to London thing and back quite a few times now. I’m becoming a bit of an old hand. I’ve flown via Singapore, via Bangkok, via KL and every time I’ve done it I’ve experienced some degree of shameful exhaustion upon arrival. “Great to see you but I’m going to bed now.” or “lovely to be home, I think I have avian flu, or maybe it’s the plague?”
On this trip I thought I’d get the better of those jet lag demons once and for all by conducting a semi/not very at all scientific test. I would know, once and for all, how to arrive at my destination feeling refreshed and raring to go. Air New Zealand flew us the route via Hong Kong and then back ten days later. Along the way I tried out some different cures and coping strategies for jet lag from homeopathic potions to flaggons of ale. Here are the results…
